Katz in seattle if the Oilers played basketball and he really moved them.
I think that there was never any intention to move the Oilers to Seattle. It was just to try and scare the city into caving in the arena talks. But I think that he was hearing and getting death threats (Just what i think on the threats no confirmed source) or stuff like that so he had to try and make sure that this didn't get any worse. So he said that he won't move the team get every Oilers fan to not hate him as much as the others. But it will take Oiler fans time to recover from this, as we all remember when Peter Pocklington saga was going and saying he was going to move them to Houston.

ReplyDeleteOf course there was never a serious consideration to move the Oilers. Bottom line, I doubt the NHL would allow one of the highest money makers in the NHL to move from a market like Edmonton.
No Doubt It was that they would never move edmonton. and it was so obvious that he wasn't going to move them. it that was just a scare to get arena talks moving in his favour.
